Simon Says Stamp and Show Some Wendy Vecchi Style!

Hello Everyone! Thank you for playing along with last week's challenge ...  the winners will be announced this Wednesday .... so don't forget to check back ... this could be your winning week! This week Simon Says Stamp and Show ... Some Wendy Vecchi Style! If you want to join in the fun ... all you need to do is ... create something that ties in with our theme ... pop it on your blog ... and come back here and link up so everyone can see what you made! If you have n't got anything Wendy Vecchi ... Don't panic ... use the stash you already have ... but first take a look at what the Design Team came up with...
As you all know I LOVE everything Wendy Vecchi / Studio 490 related! So I had a wonderful time filling my 7Gypsies Printers tray with lots of Wendy Vecchi stamps and goodies in addition to some Idea-Ology. This sample was quite tricky to photgraph so for more detailed pictures check out my blog.
Dan used a range of Wendy Vecchi's Studio 490 stamps to create this card.  Products used included Faded Jeans, Antique Linen, Fired Brick and Wild Honey Distress Stains along with Wendy's Residential Art, It's More Flower Art and All Bottled Up stamps.
Nancy was very happy to accomplish something that's been on her to-do list for quite a while - decorating her 2nd set of large acrylic covers. She added Studio 490 Art Parts to create a shelf upon which she perched a Wendy-inspired bottle to represent the zero in the 490. A Maya Road sign hangs from Art Parts with Idea-ology swivel clasps and Maya Road letters.

Candy chose to cross Wendy Vecchi of Studio 490's style with a Santos Cage Paper Doll and see what happened. She used the smallest of the houses in Wendy's Residences Art Parts to create the doll's head. The polka dots on the body, the dimensional flowers and leaves and the sentiments seen on the doll were from Wendy's All About Art, Dimensional Rose Art, Ticket To Art, Nature's Art, and A Form Of Art Stamp Sets.
Lynne loves ALL THINGS WENDY VECCHI.....she was inspired by the quote from Nature's Art. So she pulled out a canvas and her Dress Forms and More ~ art parts. She stamped the background of the canvas with her all time favorite stamp from Flower Art. Spritzed on some Shabby Shutters, lathered on a bit of Fiber Paste, added some Wild Honey and Vintage Photo Distress Stains and Aged Mahogany Stickles, tucked in a colored Tattered Floral flower and there you have it....
a gift for her daughter's graduation!!
Lori Hassler
Lori loves the Studio 490 style, especially the flowers! And.. the motivational sentiments. So she chose both to make a home decor piece! She used stamps from Live and Make Art, She Created Art, Mail Art, and It's Face Art, along with some new Clearly for Art Blackout to demonstrate her passion for Studio 490!

Make a little bird-house for your soul...! For Sarah, it was definitely a case of Be Happy, Live and Make Art with Wendy's Vecchi's stamps of the same name. Sarah wanted to create a flourish of florals and enjoyed playing with Clearly For Art, various Art Parts, and lots of Distress Inks. She also used Claudine Helmuth's great Studio Paints, lots of Matt Medium and would never have survived without Tim Holtz's indispensable scissors! See more photos and details on Sarah's blog.
Since seeing Wendy's "treasure box" in her box #4, Nancy's wanted to create one of her own - and now has! The box is from one of Tim Holtz's Idea-ology Configurations, the lid's grungepaper colored with Ranger Peeled Paint Distress Ink Stain & stamped with Wendy Vecchi's ticking stamp from Art Fit for a Queen. For more details & more pictures, please visit Nancy's blog.

Linda is a novice where Wendy Vecchi's work is concerned so she chose to make a small simple wall hanging out of a coaster.  She knew polka dots were one of Wendy's favorite patterns so she made sure to incorporate plenty into her piece.  Products used include the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals DieGrunge Paper, Broken China and Tea Dye Distress Inks as well as Vintage Photo Distress Stain.  She also used several Tim Holtz stamp sets including Papillon, Mini Classics and Curiosities.

Kim had so much fun creating with lots of Wendy Vecchi stamps... Alphabetically art, art colors life, botanical artlive and make artnature's art. Claudine Hellmuth Gesso Primer Paint was used for all the art parts, leaves, sample pack. We all know flowers are one of Wendy's favorite things to create so Kim made sure to incorporate plenty into her piece. Die cut, stamped, punched and even some Clearly for Art whiteout.

Terry decided to make a tag with The Wendy Vecchi Style. The background is masked with a leaf and she used the Just Fly butterflies from Wendy and worked on them with Distress inks such as Weathered Wood, Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint and Wild Honey. To finish it she used the Crackle Accents on the wings. The sentiment is from The Tim Holtz Odds and Ends and she placed a Philosophy Tag underneath. On the bottom of the tag she placed some metal brads. More details are on her blog.
